Background: His childhood was pretty typical. Rory grew up in a normal, traditional household with a dad who tended to stress the importance of masculinity. He grew closer to his mother because of how unfeeling his father came off to be. At around 5 or so, Rory expressed an interest in having a Prince Charming, which enraged his father, and implanted a fear of being gay. However, despite his father's aversion to it, his mother was fully supportive, even though Rory still beat continually beat himself up about it.

During his teen years, Rory was awkward and geeky, but managed to be charming enough to have a few close friends. He had 1 short-lived girlfriend in order to appease his father. This caused him to become more and more confused. A week or so after his graduation, he took of without a word to Vanilla Village to find himself.
